The Next Advance Combat Jet For the Indian Air Force! The Light Combat Aircraft (Due in 1999)! Designed as a replacement for the ageing fleet of MiG-21s, this fighter will incorporate fly-by-wire systems, and perhaps even vectored-thrust with Russian assistance. It will be yet as cheap as 15-20 million U.S. dollars, and will be fit to compete with even other fighters in the international market like Saab-Scania's Gripen (Sweden).(see picture and diagram for design).
